A prolific leaker has said that the next-generation iMac will feature a larger display than what is currently offered in the iMac lineup.
As reported by MacRumors, the Twitter account l0vetodream has jumped on the train of people saying that the redesigned iMac coming later this year will feature a larger display than the current iMac lineup.
Apple currently makes a 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac. l0vetodream’s tweet specifically focuses on the next generation of the 27-inch iMac, saying that the new version will feature a larger display.
Credible leaker l0vetodream today endorsed widespread speculation that one of the newly redesigned iMacs, expected to launch sometime this year, will feature a larger display than the current largest offering in the iMac lineup.
According to l0vetodream, the new model replacing the 27-inch size will feature a larger display. The private tweet translates to “The iMac’s screen is really big, bigger than the biggest one”.
According to Bloomberg, the new iMac lineup is expected to take on the design of the Pro Display XDR.
and do away with the sizable metal chin area in favor of a design similar to Apple’s Pro Display XDR monitor. These iMacs will have a flat back, moving away from the curved rear of the current iMac. Apple is planning to launch two versions — codenamed J456 and J457 — to replace the existing 21.5-inch and 27-inch models later this year, the people said, asking not to be identified because the products are not yet announced.
